Fred, before you make a decision you should at least look at the FT-90R
micro-sized dual bander. I really like mine, especially the tiny little
detachable front panel, which will fit just about anywhere on or around the
dash or console. The mic connects to the transceiver body, which in my case
is sitting under the flip-up back seat of my crew cab truck. I'll never go
back to a "normal" sized rig for mobile use!

Anyone have any experience with it, namely, how's it compare with, say,
