Well Guys, I just have to put my 2 cents worth in
on the 2600m bashing. I bought my unit new
from AES about 2 and a half years ago and
installed it in my 94 Explorer Sport.... Direct
to the battery. I have never, repeat never had
a memory loss. Also when Iam running errands
around town, I don't ever turn it off and just
crank up the engine at every stop. The car
battery is one of the best spike filters you can
have.... if the battery is in good shape. As a data
point, I always see the built in voltmeter reading
11.2 to 11.4 volts when I crank the engine. So with
all that said, I think this is one fine monoband rig...
