Two FT-8500s.
First one 5 years old. returned once to Yaesu under warranty after it
locked up and nothing would unlock it. Yaesu claimed they could not find any
problem (Postal Service must have made repairs enroute). No problems since.
Second FT-8500 is about 4 years old purchased from HRO as the FT-8500s were
being dicontiued. Supposedly this radio was their in store demonstrator and
had been serviced by Yaesu before HRO sold the radio. By the serial number
the radio is older than radio one. No problems with this radio.
Knock on wood--just for safety sake!.
