[LOGic] Error 13

G'Day,

I did not think the message was from LOGic.

>From where did you get the "Error 13" message?

It would have been nice to have seen the full material in your first post to
the list. It is almost impossible to help when all one has to go on is a
cryptic "Error 13".

I would turn off everything associated with OLE - that is, the use of
external programs - like Telnet, QRZ Web, etc etc - from inside LOGic.

When Logic is stable with you making QSOs, slowly turn the programs back
on, one at a time, operating LOGic for a few days after each change. When
the error occurs, we will all better informed and can help in a practical
way.

>From the "access denied" content of the Windows OLE dispatch message you
offer, you, your account, has a problem accessing "that thing" - which,
again from the message, looks like QRZ.

The LOGic forum has numerous topics discussing the problems accessing and
using the QRZ Web lookup. In short - don't use it.

I suggest .

Run LOGic as Administrator, or turn off User Account Control, and make your
personal account an Administrator.
Disable QRZ Web access for Callbook.

Your "access denied" problem has nothing to with LOGic. It is a problem
with how you are using your PC. LOGic just happens to be the catalyst that
exposed the problem.

I have contacted Dennis and given him the info below. Not much to tell, I
can only log one or two stations and then everything locks up. I am running
Win 7 and after entering a callsign and attempting to move the cursor to the
next field it will not move. The only way out of this is to hit ctrl-alt-del
and stop the program from the task manager.
I'm really not usually very active on DXing, but was active over the weekend
and that problem really got upsetting when I could not keep up with the
stations I was attempting to log. Below is the info I sent Dennis. That is
exactly what I see on the screen and of course had to retype it because I
could not get back into the program to copy that info.
The error message is 1429
Ole IDispatch exception
Code 0 from msxml3.ddl;
Access is denied
.. " has occurred in program
callbook_web_async.qrz.web_subser line 0

G'Day,
I am totally unfamiliar with an "Error 13" message coming from LOGic of any
version. I have never seen an error in that form from LOGic. LOGic does
not number the messages.
Can you tell us more ... in more detail?

Whenever I attempt to use LOGic I get an error message. It is totally
unusable. I have reinstalled the program but the problem is still there.
