Now, my next question is why doesn't the "Set Rig" button work on the Spot
Log? It worked before with the USB interface...

Update,
I did manage to get everything talking using the "S15" cable and "WYE" cable
from my SteppIR controller. Logic gave me an erroneous reading when I
initially set up the comms using the new serial port.
Now to the rotor!
BTW, hasn't been my week...the gear reducer for my motorized crankup tower
failed the day before, so I am stuck with the tower nested and SteppIR at 25
feet. Now gotta get the whole assy off and repaired. What's next???!!!

Recent lightening has taken out my USB interface (RigExpert Pro) and my
rotor (hopefully the Green Heron Controller). Until I get my RE Pro back, I
want to buy the necessary cable(s) to connect directly from either the
serial or USB port of my computer to my TS-950SD, and also connect my
SteppIR controller. I need some advice re the best solution for this.
