I want the same thing with my computer at work. The only good answer I've
found is to do a backup to a thumb drive at home and then do a restore at
work. As I do my QSL'ing at work I sometimes have to reverse the process
also. Not as elegant as the VPN, but it works.

i've been attempting to get logic8 to work reliably across a vpn. this
vpn connects my home with a weekend cabin. the vpn is fairly robust,
though it does have some latency. from time to time it drops for up to
30 seconds before reestablishing.
my problem is that first, it seems that logic loads the entire database
across the vpn on startup--takes several minutes. second, when the vpn
drops and reconnects--this is transparent to the network except for some
delay--logic throws a lot of can't write errors. i suspect this is more
due to XP networking than logic, but still i have the problem.
my goal is to have up to date info regarding my dxcc status, etc., at
both locations. sharing the database is ideal, but i don't think i can
do that in this case.
other than manually copying across the data each time, has anyone else
solved this issue?
thanks,
kenb ky5g
