[LOGic] Logic 8 with microHam MK

Hello All:
I am having trouble since upgrading to the latest maintenance release of
Logic 8 with the serial port to the rig timing out at irregular times. I use
a microHAM microKeyer with virtual serial port 7 as the rig control port.
What happens is that the program will work well for awhile and then suddenly
quit talking to the rig with the error "POLLING DISABLED: 0 characters in
buffer". There were no changes in the radio setup. Occasionally when this
occurs, it will command my radio to do certain things such as go into memory
mode. My radio is a Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark V. The microHAM MK is version 1 and
has the latest firmware and Router upgrade.
It does not do this at all with any other program - ie. MixW, N1MM Logger. I
can run all day on these programs without communication problems with the
rig. Once the com port ceases to communicate in Logic, it requires a
computer reboot to regain the com port function - it will NOT work with the
above programs unless I do. I also verified that there was no interfering
program by running Logic without startup programs running (via 'msconfig').
Computer is a WinXP system with Asus A8V mobo, 2GB RAM, Opteron 185 CPU - no
over-clocking.
I've used Logic since the early days and I've never run across this problem.
Like I said, it only started when I updated to the most recent maintenance
release.
I would appreciate any help.
