[LOGic] How to make County field null for a QSO?

Hi Skip,
Thanks for your advice! You gave me the idea of how to approach this.
I did figure out how to do it -- but you can't really do it through the LOGic
GUI the way you suggested. Reason: LOGic won't let you create a null record. I
could have created a county record named (none), which I think is what you
were suggesting, but that's not the same as a null record, because it has a
name (none). I didn't want there to be a county named (none); I wanted a null
record (NO name) that simply has the DESCRIPTION of (none). And LOGic won't
let you create such a record through the Lists of Valid Values dialog.
So I manually edited the lists.dbf database to create this null record. (I
know you can do this through LOGic, but I use an external database editor
called DBF Viewer 2000 for doing this kind of work. More user-friendly, for me
anyway.) I then went into Database Management in LOGic and did a Reindex and
Pack to get the new record indexed in the .cdx file.
Bottom line, it now works perfectly, just like the STATE and VE PROV fields.
Now whenI press Delete, the county goes away (effectively) by storing the null
(none) record. So if anybody else out there wants to make the County field
erasable, that's the way to do it.
