[Logic] extracting log info to a new log in Logic6

What would be the simplest way to copy log entries, by a range of dates, to make a second log out of them using Logic6?
I have all my previous callsign qso's in the same log as my current call but I know the date range for the previous call. I was thinking that for LoTW submission, It seems I need to separate out the previous callsign qso's into a separate file to submit under the old callsign. Wat say? Mike K7MH.
