[Logic] spot log connection timeout

I leave my webcluster spotting open, there is a box that shows the
connection
details called "webcluster spotting", occasionally the connection fails to
complete
and the connection that failed never times out and never tries to retry.
If the connection failed at say 3pm and i look at my spot log at 8pm i lost
most of the spots between this time, even though the connection was back at
say 3:15pm.
 it will never update until i hit cancel and then hit download, missing some
spots.
can we put a "timeout timer" on this thing? so it will retry after so many
minutes...
