Hi Ben,
I brought this up on the reflector some time ago and asked Dennis to
change it. As I understand, if you first preset the lower VFO to RX it
will work. For me this is not intuitive.
Dennis, future feature?
Thanks,
Bob N6RFM (maybe this is only a problem for N6_FMs!)

Subject: [Logic] IC 756 PRO and split mode
I have been using a PRO with Logic and TRX MAnager for several years.
The
PRO has been controlled via TRX, and TRX has been specified as the radio
in
Logic.
I recently tried to control the PRO directly from Logic. I had been able
to
do this OK with several previous versions.
I tried every ICOM selection possible. The one that seems to work the
best
is the 756 with main/sub. Here, when selecting a DX spot with a transmit
offset, the frequencies are set and split mode is turned on. However the
frequencies are reversed. When starting with the upper readout the
active
one, when the selection is made, the DX listening frequency ends in the
top
instead of his transmitting frequency. The DX transmitting frequency is
in
the bottom with split mode turned on. If I were to transmit in this
manner,
a lot of people would scream, "UP UP!!!". Has anything change in the
radio
interface routines, or are there other PRO users out there that can
comment,
including what selection they use??? Since the unselected VFO cannot be
read
nor written to via the CAT port without it being first made the active
VFO,
when placing a radio in split mode, the offset frequency must be made
active, the frequency set, then switched back. Methinks it is not being
switched back.
I have gone back to having the radio controlled by TRX for now.
thanks
Ben
