On hand who cares what a QSL looks like as long as the DXCC desk or whomever
accepts it..
On the other, a QSL can express you and your station....A nice card on
decent stock is a pleasure to receive.
.......even labels have detracted from the process......
While handwritten cards are a pain, many times the operator (including me)
took the time to write a note or comment.....it made QSL'ing much more
interesting.
There was a US Ham in Central America who was notorious for not
QSL'ing...everyone was complaining......
His card sat on my desk for a while, when I got around to filing cards, I
noticed a note on the back of his card..."printed a thousand, you got the
last one, tells the guys no more QSL's"

> I dont agree Dave. Perhaps, you and Gil have not seen how professional
looking these cards look after they are done. Im not saying that you cant
get a junky looking card from someone who wont take the time to really make
them look great, but most of us using this method will choose graphics and
designs to make those cards look just as professional as preprinted cards.
In the photo mode or laser printers, you wouldnt be able to tell the
difference except for the fact that you'll know it was printed because of
the personalization of the info on the card, which isnt that the purpose?
>> So beside all that, the purpose of the card really is to confirm that you
worked a particular area for a specific award you are trying to fulfill. And
even if the card I receive dont look as great, It will serve the purpose for
showing conformation of that contact. That gentlemen is the whole purpose
for QSLing, not to see how pretty a card you can get. Hams dont care what
the card looks like, well most hams, I guess it matters to you two, but its
the QSL info that is important to the most of us.
