FW: [Logic] UTC

Ok, no one is forcing anyone to use UTC.
All you need to do is tell your computer to local
time, and to NOT automatically update the clock for
DST. If DST comes or goes, so what--LOGic still
logs correctly. When you change your system clock,
change LOGic.
Getting the UTC offset from Windows sounds like a
great idea unless you think about it. LOGic has to
be operational while DST changeover happens. This
would require checking the system time zone every
time we update the clock. Or it could be done only
when requesting the time to put in a QSO record,
but that would require a second clock, and the time
logged could be different from what is displayed in
info, and doubtless someone would be upset abt
that.
So, I'm open to suggestions.

DH

Dennis , as you can see, I am not the only one that
thinks that you should
fix the time problem. It is VERY easy to mess up
your contacts and then you
do not get a QSL.
I pointed this out way back in version 3. Can you
give a reasonable
explanation of why this has not been fixed? At the
very least it should be
an option. Forcing me to us UTC on my system is
not acceptable.

Come to think of it Gil, I forgot one year and almost
screwed up some very
nice DX. This is something for our 'wish list', Dennis
has taken note I am
sure.
