[Kenwood] TS-430S Xverter Connector.

Question,
Is that 8 pin connector for the transverter jack a like proprietary 
Kenwood plug?
I bought an 8 pin one from digikey, and it arrived today,
I tried to push it in just to test it out and when completely assembled 
it just won't go in. So I looked closely and the pinout pattern looks 
good the like keyway thing is also in the right place.
So I took it apart and tried just the pins part and no go it appears the 
pins are too big to fit into the holes.
Anyone know if this is a special kenwood plug? Or why this won't go in?
