I lost my bookmarks for these two things.
Thwey had to deal with alignments and balancing the rig.
One was to use WWV at a frequency as high as possible. you were to set
the readoit so it was dead on in display,
Then you listened to the tone of WWV and switch between USB and LSB and
the WWV tone shoud stay the same if it is correct if not there was a
simple cap to adjust till it was the same.
Then you would connect to say a dummy load and again switch between LSB
and USB listening to the background hisssss.
if it is the same great if not it showed two trimmer caps to adjust till
they were the same.
Does anyone here know where these three caps are?
And PS the resistor and 13.8 volts and runn through the pass band
filters cleaned up the totally dead and intermittently dead ones
fantastic. it's like a new radio now.
