[Kenwood] 590 drive control

Joe,
I don't own a TS-590 so I downloaded the user manual and the "In Depth"
manual. According to the information gleaned from both manuals, the DRV (
DRiVe) button enables or disables the appearance of the transmit driver
output signal at the rear panel jack. This is the signal that the
transmitter driver stage outputs to the input to input of the FET final
stage.
The signal is approximately 1mw at the maximum power setting. This jack
would most often be used to connect a transverter for VHF/UHF/microwave,
etc.
