[Kenwood] Kenwood TS-930S works.

Glad you got your 930 up & going again John (W3AFC).
I now have 3 930s....one I've had from new(#2110416), one for about 5yrs 
(#3050938) and the 3rd one for just a couple of weeks (#3050952).
I have not changed the power supplies in any of them, but have replaced 
the power pass transistors with MJ15003 in all of them, & have also 
replaced the PA Drivers with MOSFETS in all 3 rigs, as per the ModsDK 
article by Pedro Wyns.....there is quite a difference between different 
IRF820s (the ones I used), on 930 #1 I get 100W out upto & incl 10m, 
whilst on #s 2 & 3 I get just 20W out on 12 & 10W & 100W on the other 
bands. I have bought a couple of Par boards for the VK4AMZ power supply 
mod. - if any of mine do fail, I will go that route.
I have had a TS940, Omni6, IC7000, K3 and K2, and the 930 Rx, for every 
day cw use holds its own with all of them - with luck, at least 1 of 
mine will last me out!
