The service manual is available from www.mods.dk
Kenwood changed about 1990??? The 940/440/140 and earlier used 1.25uV for S1
and 50uV for S9. The later radios used 1uV for S1 and 20uV for S9. This is
for SSB/CW radios. FM radios are totally diffrent.
