[Kenwood] Backup rig - advice requested.

Why not something like a DX100 and NC303 and t/r relay or separate antennas
for break-in.
CW, 100 W. and you can fix them yourself, or at least, stand a chance of
fixing them.
Robust and no worries from things like static discharges.
Simple, reliable. No unobtainium microprocessors.
