[Kenwood] With a Turner 454X mic work with a TS120S?

Hi Mike,
Not only is the impedance wrong, the level is wrong (too high) as well. A typical dynamic microphone looks like a few hundred ohms and around 10mV. A crystal microphone looks like several hundred kilohms and around ten times as much level. And, the gain pot in the TS120S is AFTER the preamp. You may wind up overdriving the preamp with that microphone. Use the right kind of microphone and sell that one to someone with a vacuumm tube boat anchor.
