[Kenwood] Re TS850 Help

Ok here`s what happen so far. I hook the 850 up to a heathkit metered dummy load. I was doing this to see if i could see if the ALC and power was ok when i put the rig on tune mode. Well in tune mode there is no ALC reading. Next i put the rig in CW mode key down i had ALC and power out steady. No drop in power at all. Did the same in tune mode. No drop in power. What the -ell . So i went back to using the same meter and dummy load & powersupply that i seen the problem with And what the -ell Everything works perfect. Very strange. Well i am not going to fix anything that is not broke. So for now i will just use the 850 and see if the problem comes back. I check the caps on the board under the RF board and the caps have not started leaking. So for now i am going to replace the choke L37 and leave well enough alone and see what happens. Rick VE7RiK
