Maybe this question needs to be clarified. Everyone seems to be pointing towards the monitor function (if it has one) being the problem. It's possible that because of bad grounding or having RF in the shack it is getting into the receiver and that's what you're hearing. Is it very clear audio as you would hear on a monitor? If you are sure that you don't have a monitor function on, check your grounding and/or coax connections.
