[Kenwood] Kenwood TM-241 Mike

I purchased a replacemen mike for my 241. It came with a modular 
connector. Looking at the modular plug, all eight wires are crimped in 
the plug. It was described to me as the same wiring as the Kenwood 
commercial transceivers. Does this mike require 8V and which wires am I 
likely to need if I replace the modular plug with a round 8 pin plug 
compatible with my 241?
