[Kenwood] Info on Kenwood 940

There is a momentary "click", it might even be described as more than one
click, perhaps more like a "thunk" when I turn my 940 on, the pilot lamps
illuminate and then about 2 seconds later the receiver comes to life. This
is normal for this radio which I have had since new.
My ICOM 756PROII takes a normal 10 seconds to come to life during its
calibrating process. Of course the older tube radios do have a warm up
period and I have to not panic thinking they are broken when they don't
start to work immediately!

not any 940 I ever used, or any other radio either I've ever used for that
matter.
