[Kenwood] TS 480/EDX-2

 Please keep in mind that I do not have any technical experience or
training, but nevertheless have managed to short circuit & blacken items on
several PCBs.I hope not to repeat those experiences & so my question:
I have an Alinco DX70TH & Alinco EDX-2 auto tuner which work well together,
I particularly like the EDX-2.
The DX70TH manual indicates that it can be used to directly operate other
auto tuners & provides connection examples for the Kenwood AT-50, the
Kenwood AT-300 & the Icom AH-3.
The manual for my Kenwood TS 480SAT indicates that it can be used to
directly operate the Kenwood AT-300 auto tuner. 
So, both radios have 4 wire tuner connections, 2 of which are the 13.8V
leads & both can operate the AT- 300.
My question is : Can I therefore assume that both radios can also operate
the EDX-2 tuner? In other words, can I use the TS 480 to operate the EDX-2?
 Perhaps someone has already sorted this out.
