[Kenwood] TS-820 vfo

Hello
I'm new to group. I have a TS-820 that I really enjoy. However---(always
something)
Sometimes the vfo will quit, especially if going to the lesser used end of a
band. Rocking the vfo tuning back and forth it will be fine for a day or a
month---varies.
Is this as I suspect, some grounding bearing in vfo neads cleaning, or am I
way off? Just checking if this is common and if any helpful tips before I do
surgery on getting vfo out and apart.
