I am repairing an old TS 660s..My powersupply regulators gave up..and sent
26vDC across the rig's DC rail..and now there is no TX..I suspect the
drivers and finals are blown...
The drivers are a pair 2SC1971
The finals are a pair of 2SC1972
I have disconnected the tranisistors.. (but left in situ) checked with a
DC ohm meter and have a dead short across the base and Collector (about 30
odd ohms..) as I don't have a new trani..to compare to..its hard to say
whether this is normal or not...
Anybody have these tranis at their disposal and can give me some
comparison readings...
Thanks,
Maurie VK3CWB
