Hi Rob,
The 252g is even older, I bet, than the one you used. The 252g was 
intended for use with the Triton II and is actually rated only 18A. 
Since I rarely push full power with my 2K, it is not an issue for me. 
But I think we are proving the point that the original poster who wants 
a PS for use with a TS130 has a lot of options and is not limited to 
switching or newer equipment. There are many older power supplies that 
will do yoeman's service with any rig.

I am not familiar with the 252g but I tried running the 850 off a ten
tec linear supply, the one that was sold to power an Omni VI.
