To All-
I apologize as I accidentally deleted the posts with
reference to this topic.
I have checked the original Kenwood Instruction
Manuals for the TS-520 and (S), also TS-820 and (S)
online.
Here is what I found below:
TS-520
Originally analog display only.
No WARC Bands and no 160 meter band.
DG-5 external digital display required connected
through a DK-250 adapter.
TS-520S
Originally analog display only.
No WARC Bands.
Covers 160 meters.
DG-5 external digital display optional.
TS-820
Analog display with optional accessory (DG-1) external
digital display.
No WARC Bands.
Covers 160 through 10 meters.
TS-820S
Analog and digital displays built in.
No WARC Bands.
Covers 160 through 10 meters.
There were some other differences in specifications
and features. The above seemed to be the major
information.
Sorry I sold my TS-520S years ago.
Thanks for letting me post this information here. I
learned something from this experience also.
