[Kenwood] Fw: TM-D700 "Problem" ---- Update (APRS)

Jim, did you try putting his radio in your car and yours in his? Maybe
something in his car is generating a sub-audio interference signal that is
preventing him from "hearing " all the signals that you can hear, but not
being noticed on voice communications, and the succesful ten-mile test was
the maximum limit of his setup's ability to hear before "deafness" sets in?
In the end, the quality of any packet operation, including APRS, depends on
the purity of the tone pair heard by the receiver.
