[Kenwood] re: ts-830s erratic display

hi and tnx for reading this.
i just put my old kenwood ts-830s back in service for awhile so i can 
repair a yaesu 1000mp. when tuning the vfo between 0 and 100 khz the 
display jumps sometime down by 1 mhz. above 100khz to 500khz this does 
not happen. this happens on all bands. as soon as you stop turning the 
dial the display is normal. could this be caused by dirt, etc. in the 
opticoder wheel ?
