Mike,
The best I have found is a product called Goo Gone. NOT the "All Purpose
Cleaner", but a smaller bottle (8 fl oz) with that label that says it
"Removes Stickers, Grease, Gum, Tar, Crayon, Tape". Found in most of the
"old" general merchandise stores. Not sure if WalMart has it, but works
VERY well on baked on old tape residue. You have to put a puddle of it on
the offending residue and let it sit a while, then the stuff will magically
limber up. If not, wipe it off and give it another soaking. Haven't had it
destroy any paint on my stuff, but, as with all things, YMMV, hi.
73,
Don, WB5HAK
