[Kenwood] TM-241A

Hello all.
This was a common problem with the TM-241's. Contacts for the ribbon
cable between the radio and the face plate get dirty. The usual
solution is to clean the contacts and carefully reseat the cable. At
your own risk, you might try slapping the top of the radio with
something like a rolled up magazine (QST works great) to see if the
display comes back, but without cleaning the contacts you can count on
it messing up again.
Kenwood went to a plug for the face plate on the TM-251 and it still
causes problems. I have had one for years and have to remove the
faceplate and clean the contacts occasionally.
