[Kenwood] PL Board for TS570?

I can't put my hands on my 570 manual, and have a question.
Is the PL board an add-on for the 570? I see where to set the tones with 
menu 18, but do not see where to turn the tones on, other than choosing 
between burst and continuous in menu 19.
Our club just installed a new 6 meter repeater, and I want to try it out, 
but need the PL to do it.
