[Kenwood] TS-850 or TS-870

Hello Kenwood list:
 Lately I have been reading about the Kenwood TS-850 and TS-870, have read the eham reviews and seen a couple of other pages. If you know a good link to further information please send it on. Both are impressive rigs but if I decide to purchase one it would be good to know as much about the radio as posible. If you have experience with either model I would like to hear from you...
Which is best at rejecting adjacent interference?
What are average price ranges for one in good condition?
Is the 870 worth the extra money?
Any reliability issues with either model?
What filters or options should be installed? 
Which do you like and why?
What is the best serial number range to get? 
Anything else to look for or beware of?
