When I owned my 850, I thought the 2000 looked like someone hooked a hose up
to in and overinflated it!! All bug-eyed, and swelled up!
Recently, I bought one!
It has some cool features.
Now, I like the looks of it!
It is actually thought out and functional.
As you get used to it, you find the controls are located right where you
would put them if you were to re-design it.
And, the actual performance is quite good...Plus, I can keep an ear on the
local VHF repeater while operating HF.
It will receive on the local repeater even if I'm transmitting on HF!!
