Hi Guys,
Well, here's what has happened so far. I tried tweeking the VCO2 pot. I
somehow managed to get the voltage at that point down to .062 volts... and I
can't get the pot to turn anymore, I think the head is rounded off... I
didn't have the proper tool. being the voltage is so low, the display is
showing all dots... Guys, I need a radio. and this TS-950SDX is nothing but
a headache at the moment...
so, here's the deal. I will offer this TS-950SDX, which has ALL filters,
EXCEPT the narrow CW filter for the Sub Reciever. I don't have the RM-1 or
the Voice recorder option, I don't have the original boxes, nor manual, I
bought this radio in a estate sale, however, it was owned by a freind of
mine, who passed away in Florida. and I never went down there personally to
see radio station, just bought it, sight unseen.
before this Oxidation problem on this VCO2 Pot crept up, the rig worked just
fine... I tend to believe, it just needs the proper tool to spin the POT a
few times and hit it with some tuner cleaner, (Neither which I have at the
moment! *grumble*) and everything would be back to normal, Guys, I'm
unemployed and broke, so, I can't just go out and buy needed stuff to make
rig work again.
I am willing to put my Amatuer Radio Reputation on the line here to say,
once you fixed this little issue, you'd have a awesome 950SDX on your
hands...
Here are the only things in can think of that are wrong with it's
appearence. there's some paint missing from the bottom corner, on the left
side... you have to pick up the radio to see it, and there's a slight dent,
on the bottom cover, prolly from rig being shipped to me, when I got it from
florida. you have to turn rig upside down to see it too. again, new top and
bottom covers would solve that. this radio is a late seriel number, I can
post it, if you want...
I will toss in the MC-80 Microphone with it and a ameritron amp buffer, that
I never used. I just need to get enough to buy me a IC-746PRO, A desk mic,
the high temp oscialltor for the 746pro. Power supply comes for free from
AES. that all will run me around say 1400ドル plus shipping, (I think)
I'll float this price and see what kinda of reaction I get, 1500ドル.00, you
ship. what *I* paid for the radio. No scratches on face plate or bezel,
never been dropped... has voice synth in it.
I mean, I don't want to get rid of it, But this stupid problem is beyond,
what I can fix at the moment. I know someone here to could take this rig and
have it operational in no time flat.
If your interested, PLEASE, Call me at 1-313-382-0272, between 10A.M. and
10:00p.m. EST.. Serious inquires only... I don't want to go the hassle of
sending it to VA. I just want to sell it to someone who can fix it and own a
great radio. and I'm almost sure it's a easy fix.
so, there you guys go....
