Hi Bob,
I have a TS940 since December - there is a noticeable delay before the
Rx audio comes through when I power it on. I've nothing to compare it
to (other than yours!), but this appears to be normal.
If you are having issues with the ALC control, check if the DSP is
switched on or not. When DSP is on, the MIC control has no effect - ALC
is controlled by the DSP OUT. Took me a while to figure that one
out.....
Let me know if I can provide any more info - the TS940 is a great rig
that I am getting to know and love more and more every day.
