[Kenwood] TS-780 Value

Hi,
A friend has offered me an older (maybe 20 year-old) Kenwood
TS-780 144/440 MHz all-mode transceiver. It's in good electrical 
condition but has no built-in PL and no microphone. I want to use it 
primarily on SSB and CW so the lack of a PL doesn't matter much to me.
The RF power output rating is 10 watts. Can anyone take a guess at what 
the value of this rig might be? I don't want to insult my friend by 
making an offer that's too low. I looked on EBay but didn't see any.
