[Kenwood] TS-870 Why isn't it??

The 870 already has analog filters in it.YK88S-2 in the 8.83 IF and Murata K12 in
the 455 IF. It use a combination of 2 analog filters that are sloped tuned by the
micro processor and the final selectivity is done by the Motorola 56000 series DSP
chips with AGC control being provided from the DSP. The 870 has a unique analog/DSP
setup that most people are not aware of or don't understand. Only this radio has this
type of system. It need nothing in the selectivity department ....only possible
issue would be the additional CW slot for a fix filter in the 455 IF , that could be
switch in on that mode...it could be easily modified... But I don't operate CW so
that is a non issue ...A great radio overall .....
