i aqquired a well used ts940s awhile ago for a very good price. free.
measured power on a good watt meter shows 105 watts out but the meter on the
rig shows about 65. is a calibrating pot in the rig, if so where and what is
the part number? also, measuring voltage drop across the meter shunt for Ic
current, r 9 on ps board shows 116 mv. the resistor is marked 15m, so i
assume it is a 15 milliohm value. that figures out to about 7.8 amps which
at 29 v comes to about 220 watts input. book says max is 250w pep. but the
ammeter on the radio shows about 15 amps. again is a trim pot for that
circuit? also, what is max current allowed on the pa? pa voltage is fused at
15a.
thanks, ed
