You are adjusting the master reference oscillator. Depending on the amount
of frequency you are off and the time span as to whether it meets spec's.
Normally a little drift is seen in the first 30 minutes. After that it
should be fairly stable.
And no the display will not show the drift as it's reference is the same
oscillator. Tuning WWV from a cold start will show it, usually 50-100 hz.
