Tim have to considered a reseting the radio entirely, just a thought.
I dont recall how it is done, but I know on the 231 it can be, so don't see
why it can't be done on the 241.

Subject: [Kenwood] TM241A VFO troubles
My TM241A has developed a quirk.
When attempting to tune a frequency it will only allow you to tune in the
147 MHz range. If you tune to 147.000 and keep going down it kicks back up
to 147.995 and the opposite is true as well. I have played around with the
frequencies to see if it in fact is resetting to 147 or just not displaying
correctly and it seems to actually be resetting to 147 meg rather than allow
you to tune down to 146. I have even gone as far as moving frequencies from
memory into the VFO that are in the 145 and 146 range and as soon as you
turn the VFO or push the up/down on the mic it jumps to 147.??? whatever was
on the display in the other segment.
I know ... I come up with some doosies.
Any ideas?
