[Kenwood] TS-700SP technical question

I've been doing additional troubleshooting the front-end problem in my
TS-700SP...but have not found any information regarding typical
operating voltage values for the varicap diodes in the tuned-circuit
between the RF amp and mixer (query posted previously).
I have noted one other possible varicap related problem: I believe that
when one adjusts the drive control in the transmit mode that the power
output should peak as the circuits associated with the varicap diodes in
the intermediate transmit stages are tuned through resonance. In my
'700SP there is *no* resonance peak whatever, pointing to a possible
problem with the resistive voltage divider network and/or varicap diodes
in the transmit stages.
Does anyone on the list have any thoughts about this phenomenon? I'd
sure like to get this one sorted out in time for the January VHF
Sweepstakes!
Tahnks and 73,
Jack, W7PW
