[Kenwood] TS-940 erratic output

After many years of flawless operation, my '940 is acting up. Before I get
inside, I wonder if any others have had the same problem in the past. I
operate mainly CW and noticed the power output had fallen off on all bands.
By increasing carrier control I can raise the power again. But it flucuates
as does the ALC reading. Key down shows steady Vc but a slight flucuation
in Ic and power out. Like I mentioned, the ALC will go from 0 to max when
the carrier control is moved.
Anyone have a place to start??? Tnx!
