I only have the SM-220 so my replies relate to this unit only Roy. First, yes it
works fine!
Does it take the IF output from the radio and display it?
Yes

Yes

Yes, the SM-220 allows has a +/-20KHz and +/-100KHz sweep. However, please NOTE, for
the SM-220 the pan adapters is an option! So when you buy one make sure it has the
BS-8 option for radios with a 8.830KHz IF or a BS-5 for a 5MHz (not sure exact IF
frequency but it's designed for the TS-520 transceiver).

See above.

Check what the IF frequency is and if it has an IF output on the rear that matches the
220 your set. Sometimes the manuals will make mention of the optional items that work
with the transceivers.

Not off hand.
