I actually haven't completely decided on the ICOM. A looong time ago I owned an
IC211 multi-mode. It was such a POS (they actually had solder bridges between
IC pins to make up for missing traces) I gave it to a friend who also had one,
so he could keep one running. I used to say that it was a tribute to his
character that even after taking the radio off my hands, we remained friends. I
swore back then I would never own another ICOM. But times have changed (I hope).
