Steve,
How are you entering the FT8 QSOs into DXbase2007??
** IF you are IMPORTING the wsjtx_log.adi file into DXbase2007
using the Non-DXB Import program:
(1) The RSTS and RSTR info IS actually there in the DXbase2007
LOG mdb file.. You just can not see the info .. BUT it IS THERE!!
SO, if you use the DXbase2007 adi file export to make the adi file
-- the DXbase2007 adi file WILL contain the FT8 signal report !!!
(2) If the wsjtx_log.adi file contained a GRID SQUARE - that Grid Square
will be imported - when you use the Non-DXB Import program.
** IF you are typing-in the info for each QSO manually into DXbase2007,
YES - there is NO WAY to type-in manually the FT8 signal report into
the RSTS and RSTR field in your logbook.. If this is the case, then
YES - the best way would be to use the FT8 adi file to upload to
LOTW.

Subject: [Dxbase] FT8 and LOTW
Is there anything special that needs to be done in DXBase to upload FT8 contacts? I note DXBase does not have the proper format for FT8 signal reports, and some contacts (especially DXpeditions) don’t include grid squares, so absent those, there’s no actual evidence of exchanging information. Would it be better to upload FT8 contacts to LOTW from the wsjt-x adif file, or can it be done successfully from a DXBase adif?Thanks, and 73,Steve K4WA______________________________________________________________Dxbase mailing listHome: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbaseHelp: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htmPost: mailto:Dxbase at mailman.qth.netThis list hosted by: http://www.qsl.netPlease help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
