I'm trying to get DXBase 2007_109 running on a Windows 10 computer. It's loaded but asking me for a File Data Source. It is not looking for .mdb files. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
For what it's worth, I quit using DXBase about two years ago. I had purchased a Flex 6700 and drivers were not available in DXBase. I have since discovered that I can use a Kenwood driver for the Flex.
I tried DXLab Suite and currently am running HRD. I've got to say that nothing compares to the speed, ease of use and relatively light CPU usage of DXBase. HRD does have decent support and is frequently updated, as is DX Lab, but they're just not as easy to learn and use and you need a fairly powerful computer to run them. It is a plus to have quick updates to the DXCC database when entities are added, etc. In short, DXBase still has all of the features I need.
I still keep my dxpedition and special event logs in DXBase and want to move them to the Windows 10 computer. Knowing now that I can call the Flex a Kenwood, I may just switch back.
