[Dxbase] DxBase

Microsoft SQL Server 2017 EXPRESS (Express is the key here) can be downloaded from Microsoft for free.
It is limited to a 10 GB database size. The 10 GB for a log file should not be an issue for a log file. I have 40K QSOs in mine and it is only 35,970 KB in size.
I use Enterprise at work, it and Standard are both pay for use, but Express is free.

One problem is however, the version of the database DXbase currently uses is so old, it will not open in SQL 2017 (any version). The version of SQL was never updated with a new release.
Then, there is always the MySQL product also.

I believe that anyone who wants to "take over" has a few obstacles.
First, DxBase is using a Microsoft database, for which I believe there
is a licensing fee.
I'm sure there's plenty of guys out there who can do this but it's not
simple!
